Levites are recorded in the Hebrew Bible as direct descendants of Aaron, Israel’s first High Priest.
Sons of Shem
Shem, the youngest son of Noah, as priest of God in the order of Melchisedek. The descendants of Shem carried the priesthood down to Abraham and on into the lines of the descendants of Abraham.
